We are currently in Livingston, TX, the home park of a group we belong to called Escapees. The Escapees organization has campgrounds throughout the US, the largest mail service in the US(more on that later), homes for those who are no longer wandering and, you will love this, an RVers Nursing Home!
What does a mail service do? A mail service is your address when on the road. It can be your domicile(your legal state) or just a convenient place to accumulate your mail until you want it sent to where you are. For us, it is our legal address: we have our cars and MH registered in TX, our DL is in TX and we vote in TX. All our mail comes here and is held until we want the mail sent someplace. We generally have our mail sent every 2-3 weeks but need to plan ahead to make sure we are having the mail delivered to a small town, preferably with one post office so it is easy to find.
If we need to come off the road for medical reasons(including Alzheimer's) there is CARE, our RV nursing home.
