Heading for Oklahoma

Today we bagan our drive to Oklahoma. We are very happy to be leaving Texas, we had rain every day and rain was forceast for the next 10 days. Oklahoma doesn't show any rain in the next 10 days. Hope the weatherman is correct!

We ended up staying in Texas an extra week. Tom needed some unexpected derm. surgery and we had to wait for the stitches to come out. Livingston TX is not the place to kill time...............

This AM we set our sites on Malden Lake COE near Texarkana, TX. Just a quick overnight  stop on our way to Potato Hill COE where we will stay 4-5 days. This is in SE Oklahoma and hopefully we will get fall colors. There are several scenic drives to do and I need to check into waterfalls yet. I am not sure if we will have phone/internet service as the campground is pretty much in the middle of nowhere.

I have had to make some adjustments to our schedule as Tom needs to see the dermatologist in Phoenix and he is on vacation the week we had planned to arrive. I have kept in the major stops that we want to see and only had to drop 2-3 in SW Oklahoma so we won't miss to much. Much better than last year when we had to deal with changing our plans for 4 hurricanes.
