Tok, AK

Another driving day. The road was poor, the frost heaves were numerous and the rest of the road was very wavy and bumpy. Very tiring to drive. No animals to report. One thing that we have noticed is the number of dandelions. The dandelion must be the provincial flower. Yards are yellow, fields are yellow. I thought maybe the flower wasn’t a dandelion but I stopped to look and I was.

We also saw our first police car since arriving in Canada 3000 mile or so.

And our first police car!!! We also have seen no accidents on the entire trip. The one thing nice about Canada is that headlights on is the law. I wish they would do that in the states. So many cars in the states don’t have DRL and the lights increase visibility so much

.

We crossed the border in Alaska today. They allowed us back into the states. Yippee!!!

The border crossing was easy. the only concern was the height of the rigs(ours an others). Immigration height was 12'6", we use 13' for our number. Immigration is good. There is a ladder at the border and the immigration agent gets on the ladder to make sure we all clear OK.

As we bounced down the road we still had about 100 miles to go, then it started raining and we encountered hail. That was the end of our day. We pulled over into a rest area and parked for the night.

US/Canadian Border

Home Sweet Home!

In line at Immigration to get back into the US
